Dunnell - Word was received of the death of L. E. Linder at his home in Plaza, N.Dak., on Monday [August 1, 1932]. Mr. Linder has been in poor health for sometime and an operation about three weeks ago revealed that he was suffering from cancer of the liver. Surviving him are his wife and one son, two sisters, Mr. O. F. Anderson and Mrs. Frank Nelson; one brother, J. A. Linder, of this place, and one brother, F. O. Linder, of Austin, Texas. The funeral will be held from Estherville. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, August 3, 1932)

L. E. Linder Dies Monday A.M.
Funeral To Be Here Thursday Afternoon

L. E. Linder of Plaza, N. Dak., whose serious illness of five weeks called Dr. R. C. Coleman and Mrs. S. T. Egertson to Minot, N.D., two weeks ago, died Monday noon in the hospital at Minot. Linder was the brother-in-law of Dr. Coleman and Mrs. Egertson and was a former resident of Emmet county.

The deceased underwent an operation three weeks ago and had been ill for five weeks at the time of his death. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ike Coleman, in charge of the Masons of the local lodge, after which burial will be made in Oak Hill cemetery.

Linder is survived by his wife and son Loren, four years old. His brother John Linder and two sisters Mrs. Fred Anderson and Mrs. Frank Nelson live in Dunnell, and another brother, Rev. Frank Linder is a resident of Austin, Texas.

While in Estherville he was in the real estate business with Matt Archer and later with E. J. Breen. He afterwards went to Dolliver and became cashier of the Farmers Savings bank, when that institution was organized. Twenty-seven years ago he moved to Plaza, N. Dak., where he resided until his death.

He was a splendid citizen, honorable and upright in all business transactions, a devoted husband and indulgent father. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, August 3, 1932)

Here for Linder Rites
H. O. Selvig of Plaza, N.D., accompanied the remains of L. E. Linder from Minot, N.D. to Estherville for burial Thursday. Others from out of town here for the services were Mr. and Mrs. G. Buehler and son Billie of Goodrich, N.D., Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Huber and Mr. and Mrs. Vye of Wheatland, Dr. and Mrs. M. W. Moulton of Bellevue. Dr. Moulton who is a brother of Mrs. I. Coleman and wife visited here at the Coleman home until Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Buehler and son remained until Saturday, and Mrs. Linder and [missing line] with her sister-in-law, Mrs. O. F. Anderson and Mrs. Frank Nelson until the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Sever T. Egerston plan to drive them to their home at Plaza.
