Sara Bennett Kenderdine Funeral Set
Mrs. Sara Bennett Kenderdine, 83, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 1972, at Good Samaritan Center where she had made her home since 1968. Death was attributed to advanced age.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville. The Rev. John Pannkuk Sr., chaplain of the Good Samaritan Center, will officiate. Interment will be made n Oak Hill Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 27, 1889, in Linn Grove to Henry and Mary Alice Reese. She attended Linn Grove School and Linn Grove High School and later the Northwestern Conservatory of Music.
On Oct. 29, 1913, she was married to Frank W. Bennett in Linn Grove. Following their marriage, they made their home in Sioux City and then at Seattle, Wash. Mr. Bennett died in 1938.
In 1943 she was married to Dr. W. Kenderdine and they made their home at Spencer. He died in1956 and she continued to live in Spencer until 1968, when she moved to Estherville.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and also of P.E.O. Very active in music circles of the church, her life interest was music and she was widely-known as a vocal soloist.
Survivors include one son, William A. Bennett, Estherville; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Jack (Helen) Larue, Anita; one stepson, Harold Kenderdine, Sioux City; one sister, Mrs. Arthur Erickson, Billings, Mont.; three grandchildren, Barbara Bennett, a student at Temple Buell College, Denver, Colo., and Stephen and John in Estherville.
Pallbearers for the services will be Claude Timmins, Ed Rosendahl, Dr. E. K. Vaubel, Clyde Sanborn, C. W. Robinson and O. C. Gibson.
