John Keeler, 86, Taken By Death
Lived at Son’s Home Many YearsJohn Keeler, 86 years old, father of Charles Keeler, died yesterday morning at Cherokee after a month’s illness. Mr. Keeler has been making his home at the Charles Keeler home for the past four years, coming here from Rock Spring, Wyo.
John Keeler was born September 3, 1843, in Harrisburg, Pa. He went to Wyoming when he was a young man and made his home in Rowlins, where he was a locomotive engineer for Union Pacific railroad for 30 years.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Christian church with the Rev. Alva Ragsdale officiating. Mr. Keeler is survived by three sons, Charles of this city, John of Kemmerer, Wyo., and Harry of Rowlins, Wyo., and three daughters, Mrs. Berta of Rock Springs, Who., Mrs. Henry Brown of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Mrs. Lillian Haley of Washington.
