Jurries Rites Are Saturday
Funeral services for Harry August Jurries, 25, of Albany, Calif., former area resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dunnell, the Rev. Amos Lundquist officiating.Mr. Jurries died Sept. 27 at Albany of a heart ailment. He was born Feb. 23, 1933 at Dunnell, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jurries. He received his education at Dunnell and for the past two and a half years had lived in California.
He is survived by four brothers and six sisters.
They are: Ervin and John, both of Dunnell; Harold, Waterloo; Richard, Estherville; Mrs. Paul (Erma) Laidig, Wallingford; Mrs. Mike (Helen) Sands, Halfa; Mrs. Henry (Alice) Lockar, Lockford, Calif.; Mrs. Howard (Ella) Duncan, Hayward, Calif.; and Mrs. (John (Pearl) Lickliter, Albany, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call at the Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from tomorrow until 11 a.m. Saturday at which time the body will be taken to the church to lie in state.
Pallbearers for the service are Arnold Hall, Richard Hall, Robert Lyon, Lyle Jacobson, Virgil Wallerstedt and Jerome Buhl, all of Dunnell.
Burial will be in Lake Fremont cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 10, 1958)
