DOLLIVER –Mrs. Alert (Gurine) Rasmussen, 89, Dolliver, died Friday, March 31, at the Fairmont Community Hospital.

Services for Mrs. Rasmussen will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dolliver Lutheran Church with interment in the Dolliver Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, when the body will be taken to the church.

She was born Aug. 22, 1888, at Kristiansand, Norway, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nils Aurebeck. She received her education in Norway and came to the United States in 1911.

She was married to Alert Rasmussen Nov. 13, 1913, at Sheridan, Ill., and the couple moved to Estherville in 1920. They farmed next to the Estherville Airport east of Estherville until 1942, when they purchased a farm near Dolliver. They were living on the farm at the time of her death. She wqas a member of the Dolliver Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Rasmussen is survived by her husband, Alert; two sons, Arnold Rasmussen, Sioux City ,and Mervan (Bud) Rasmussen, Dolliver; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Gertrude) Woods, Estherville, Mrs. E.F. (Helen) Ostermeier, Weyauwega, Wisc., and Mrs. Frank (Evelyne) Price, Newport, Ore.; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; three brothers, Andrew Aurebeck in Illinois, Knut Aurebeck and Hans Aurebeck, both in Norway; and three sisters, Anna Haaras, Gunhild Aurebeck and Inger Eidsaa, all of Norway.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter and one sister.
