GRUVER – Halver Aanonson, 79, Mitchell, S.D., formerly of Emmet County, died Nov. 10 at a Mitchell hospital. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the Evangelical Immanuel Lutheran Church south of Gruver with the Rev. Dale Jenson officiating.

Mr. Aanonson was born April 17, 1897 to Ole and Sarah Aanonson in Jack Creek Township and lived most of his life in Emmet County where he farmed. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his widow, Adelaide, Mitchell; one daughter, Mrs. James (Marlene) Larson, Mitchell; two sons, Andrew, Seattle, Wash.; and Marvin, Anchorage, Alaska; and nine grandchildren.
