Ringsted Farmer Dies Suddenly; Await Soldier Son
RINGSTED, Ia. – Fred Neet, 73 year-old farmer near here, died suddenly at 11:10 a.m. yesterday at his home. He has suffered several strokes recently.
Born Oct. 18, 1883 in Marion county, Ia., he attended school at the town of Reinbeck and on Dec. 16, 1912 was married to Millie Sampson at Ruthven, Ia.
They started farming at Ringsted, moved to South Dakota for 10 years, then returned to their present place near here. He was a member of the Lutheran church of Emmetsburg.
Mrs. Neet and seven children survive, Mrs. Richard Jensen of Ringsted, Mrs. Aldrich Troug of Mallard, Ia., Archie of Beatrice, Neb., Lowell of Fort Dodge, Mrs. W.A. Peterson of Ringsted, Merville in the Army in California and Harold, at home.
Time of the funeral has not been set pending word from Merville in California. Services will be at the Ringsted Presbyterian church, the Rev. James Warren, pastor officiating. The Thomas Funeral home of Ringsted is in charge.
