Armstrong Man Dies On Fishing Trip Up North

Wilbur Sorenson, 59, of Armstrong, died Thursday evening while on a fishing trip to Leach Lake.

With three other men from Armstrong, Mr. Sorenson was fishing from a boat near shore around 6 p.m. when he suffered a heart attack. He died 45 minutes later.

The men fishing with Mr. Sorenson were Wallace Richmond, Willis Harris and Frank Van Dorston.

Born November 19, 1893 at Cedar Falls, Iowa, he had been a resident of Armstrong for the past 32 years.

A bachelor, Mr. Sorenson is survived by two brothers, Harold of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Clifford of Cedar Falls; and one sister, Mrs. Einar Hanson of Cedar Falls.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from the Presbyterian church in Armstrong, the Rev. Alex Orr officiating. Burial will be Tuesday at Cedar Falls.
