Died – Katie, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fuss, died Saturday, December 12, aged eleven months, and was buried Sunday. Rev. Bevan preached the funeral sermon. Mr. Fuss and family have the heartfelt sympathy of their neighbors in their sad affliction. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, December 16, 1896)

The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fuss died last Saturday after a lingering illness. The little one was like a ray of light in the home and its taking away is deeply felt. Kind neighbors helped to make the last hours for the little sufferer as comfortable as possible, for which Mr. and Mrs. Fuss wish to public express their heartfelt thanks.
