She moved as a child with her parents to Emmet county, where they settled on a farm north of Estherville. She received her education in the Emmet county schools.

On March 10, 1898, she was married to John Henry Sidles at Armstrong. Shortly afterwards they settled on a farm one and one-half miles east of Huntington where they lived for the past 51 years.

Loftis of Armstrong; and 10 sons, Dewey of Marin City, Calif.; Elza, Leslie, James, William, Earl and Ross, of Estherville community; Lawrence of Emmetsburg and John of Jackson, Minn. One son, Floyd, died of pneumonia at the age of 17.

Mrs. Sidles was a member of the Huntington Methodist church. Her main interest was in her home and family, but she always had time to help a neighbor or one in need.

Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Sidles leaves to mourn: one sister, Mrs. Madelin Conklin of Estherville, two brothers, Henry Tuttle of Deerfield, Ill., and William Tuttle of Chicago; 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.
