Services were held Monday afternoon for Mrs. William G. McIlwraith. Services were held at 1: 00 o’clock at her home and at 2:00 o’clock at the Methodist church. Mrs. McIlwraith passed away Friday evening.
Miss Margaret Cooper was born January 25, 1887 in Reinbeck, Iowa. She was graduated from high school at Reinbeck in 1906 and later taught school near that city for two and one half years.
She was united in marriage with William G. McIlwraith on August 30, 1911 in Reinbeck. After their marriage they lived on a farm near Reinbeck; then moved to Dolliver where they lived for more than twenty years. In July 9141 they came to Estherville to make their home.
She has been affiliated with the Methodist church for many years.
She left to cherish her memory, her husband, four children, Mrs. Jean Laffy of Dolliver, Mrs. Marion Crabtree of Reinbeck, Mrs. Wilma Matland and James, both of Estherville; two brothers, Albert and James Cooper of Sioux City; on brother-in-law, Jess Hainer of Grinnell; and a step-father, Hugh Smiley of Reinbeck.
Interment was made in the cemetery at Reinbeck.
