John Magnus Wolden, 1880-1979

ESTHERVILLE--Services for John Magnus Wolden, 98, Estherville, will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stan Eyberg officiating. Interment in the Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, after 1 p.m. Friday and at the church after 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Mr. Wolden died Wednesday morning at the Good Samaritan Center, Estherville.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter P. Wolden, he was born September 23, 1880, at Estherville. He received his education in Estherville schools and was married to Agnes B. Strand on June 4, 1919, at Wallingford.

He worked as a hospital administrator in Estherville, Fairmont, Trimont, and St. James hospitals prior to retiring. He had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center since December 1975. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Mr. Wolden is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John (Gertrude) Prior, Vista, Calif.; two grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and one sister, Mrs. E. J. (Ella) Storvick, Albert Lea, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one son.
