ESTHERVILLE—Services for Mrs. Orville E. (Betty) Kollasch, 65, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville, with Father Albert O. Grendler, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She died Wednesday, March 13, 1985 at her home.
Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville after 3 p.m. Friday. Altar and Rosary Society rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. Friday and Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Betty Ardine McMurray was born in Kossuth County, Iowa on May 12, 1919 and was the daughter of Alvie and Mame (Rake) McMurray. She attended the St. Benedict Schools. On Dec. 27, 1938 she was united in marriage with Orville E. Kollasch in St. Benedict. The couple lived in Wesley and Whittemore following their marriage and moved to Estherville in 1944. She was employed at P.G. Gray Co. and Wadco in Estherville. Mrs. Kollasch was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include her husband, Orville, Estherville; two daughters: Mrs. Darrel (Edna) Kruse, Spencer and Denise Hecht Yankton, S.D.; two sons: Kenneth Kollasch, Ord, Neb. and James Kollasch stationed in German with the Army Air Corps; twenty grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Bill (Faye) Loebig, Wesley and Mrs. Glenn (Beverly) Smith, Algona; one brother, Robert McMurray, Cheyenne, Wyo.
She was preceded in death by one son Lt. Orville Kollasch; one granddaughter, Tina Hecht and her parents.
