Cotant Rites to be Held Friday
Funeral services for Maurice Everett Cotant, 63, who died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital in Minneapolis of cancer, are set for tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Sternborg-Reese Chapel. The Rev. William R. Noland of First Methodist Church will officiate with burial to be in Swan Lake Cemetery.
Friends may call at Sternborg-Reese today until time of services.
Pallbearers will be George Booth, Charles Booth, Wallace Berg, C. V. Kilgore, Lewis Stammer and Lee Case.
Mr. Cotant was born Feb. 7, 1899 in Estherville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Cotant. His education was in the Estherville schools.
He was married to Marie Master in 1928 in Estherville, on April 13, 1940 to Mildred Wold in Estherville.
He worked as a mechanic in Estherville for many years and then moved to Minneapolis In 1988. There he was employed by Lindahl Motors and Molkerson Motors.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his widow of Minneapolis; one son, Maurice Jr. of Iowa City and one daughter, Mrs. Georgetta Graves of Omaha; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by one cousin, Mrs. Irma Killen of Minneapolis.
His parents preceded him in death.
