Wm. Bartleman, 73, Dies at Estherville
William Bartleman, 73, long-time resident of the Estherville community, died at 10:30 Wednesday [January 25, 1956] morning at Holy Family hospital.

Born April 20, 1882 at Rockford, Ill., William Bartleman came to the Estherville community with his parents, Benjamin and Cassie Bartlemen, when he was eight years old. Mr. Bartleman retired from farming five or six years ago and moved to Estherville.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Effie Eiffmeyer of Rockford; three brothers, Nathan of Graettinger, LeRoy of St. James, Minn., and George of rural Estherville. His parents and one sister, Maude, preceded him in death. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, January 26, 1956)
