The Passing of John Barnhart
Died at Home of Son Tom, in Spokane, Washington, July 29th, Over Ninety-One Years of AgeMr. J. H. Barnhart died at the home of his son, Dr. Tom Barnhart, in Spokane, Wash., on July 29, at the good old age of 91 years, 8 months and 24 days.
Deceased was a pioneer resident of Estherville, locating here about thirty-five years ago. He was one of the city’s most worthy citizens and was prominent in church and lodge circles. He was a charter member of North Star lodge No. 447 A.F. and A.M. of this city and remained a member of the lodge until his death. He had been a Mason for over sixty-five years. Funeral services were held on the 31st, in charge of the Masonic lodge of Spokane. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, August 9, 1922)
