Dwight Adams, Former R.I. Man, Passed Away Sunday

Dwight H. Adams, 75, who formerly resided in Estherville for many years passed away at his home in Minneapolis last Sunday [May 9, 1940]. Mr. Adams commenced railroading when the Rock Island was the old B.C.R. & N. Ry. He resided in this city for many years. In 1930 he retired from service and he and Mrs. Adams moved to Minneapolis to make their home.

Mr. Adams was a popular conductor on the system and was highly respected by his co-workers and all who knew him.

The funeral services were held Tuesday in Minneapolis and the remains laid to rest in Sunset Memorial cemetery [Per Oak Hill Cemetery Records, buried at Oak Hill]. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, May 16, 1940)
