The funeral of Mr. and Mrs. John Lucas’ infant daughter, Dora, was held from the house Monday afternoon, Rev. McCoy officiating. Its death occurred Saturday [December 23, 1888], caused by lung disease. (Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, December 28, 1888)
