One of the saddest events of the week was the passing early Thursday [December 6, 1928] morning of Mrs. Florice O. Anderson Koop, wife of Edward Koop of pneumonia. She leaves an infant son, William Edward, who is just three weeks old.
Mrs. Koop was born in Stoughton, Wis., Dec. 7, 1890. Her girlhood days were spent in her home where she tenderly cared for her brother who was left motherless when only fifteen months old. He died at the age of ten years.
On May 5, 1924 [1925], she was married to Edward Koop in Minneapolis. She was a devoted home woman. Besides her husband and small son, her father W. H. Anderson of Minneapolis also survives.
Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from the Mahlum and Anderson funeral home in charge of Rev. F. Yearnd pastor of the Baptist church. Interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, December 12, 1928)
