Funeral Is Held for Estherville Farmer
Estherville, Feb. 28. – Funeral services for Hogan Emerson Natterstad, 22, who resided on a farm between Estherville and Gruver, were held Tuesday afternoon in the Mahlum and Anderson mortuary chapel. Burial was in the east side cemetery. Mr. Natterstad died Sunday, [February 24, 1929] following an operation for appendicitis.

Besides his wife, Mr. Natterstad is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Natterstad, and three brothers, Ole, Lloyd and Russell. (Mason City Globd-Gazette, Mason City, IA, July 28, 1929)

H. Natterstad, 22, Dies; Rites Held Tuesday
Funeral services for Hogan Emerson Natterstad, 22, were held Tuesday afternoon in the Mahlum and Anderson mortuary chapel. Burial was in the East Side cemetery. The funeral was private.

Mr. Natterstad, who resided on a farm between Estherville and Gruver, died at a local hospital Sunday morning following an emergency operation for appendicitis Wednesday night in a local hospital. He had been ill but a short time.

Besides his wife, Mr. Natterstad is mourned by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Natterstad, and three brothers, Ole, Lloyd and Russell, and a sister-in-law and two nieces. A small daughter and one sister preceded him in death. Mr. Natterstad was born July 7, 1906, at Elliot, Ill. (Estherville News, Estherville, IA, February 28, 1929)
