Flo Isabel Schenck was born in Frankville, Winneshiek county, Iowa, March 28, 1893, came to this vicinity in the month of March nineteen years ago. She was married to Carl Bombarger February 14, 1912, ten years last February. The first year of her married life was spent about three miles east of the Bombarger home farm where the balance of her married life was spent. One child, Marie, was born to them, Sept. 29, 1914, who with her husband, her father and four brothers survive her: Lloyd of Estherville, Leonard of Dolliver, Clarence of Dunnell, Clayton who lives on the old Schenck farm. Her mother, Mrs. Schenck, passed to her reward four years ago, the 9th of March. The mother was a rare woman of piety, discretion and intelligence and her virtues were emulated by the deceased. Many times has the writer heard her speak in the highest terms of praise of the departed parent.

Mrs. Bombarger was a member of Methodist church under the ministry of Miss Barth in the year of 1909. Mrs. Bombarger was the vice president of the newly organized Epworth League of the department of Mercy and Help at Huntington. Three weeks ago last Sunday under her direction the afternoon was spent with a company of young people in calling on the sick and shut-ins. In each of the meetings which she directed she lead in earnest and felling prayer at each home. None who were present will soon forget these petitions of direct pleading.

Mrs. Bombarger was a member of the Royal Neighbors, first at Huntington and later at Dunnell, Minn.

Mrs. Bombarger’s mother requested her husband to secure some token in remembrance of her for each of the children. The last words of parting of the mother were “Meet Me in Heavan.” Father Schenck lately purchased a gold ring for each of the four sons and Mrs. Bombarger with that inscription on and that ring is now on the finger of the departed.

Mrs. Bombarger was an exemplary wife, a devoted, faithful mother, a constant loyal friend. A week ago Sunday she led in prayer at the League. There was the coming and going of a large number of autos on Saturday and Sunday bearing occupants to and from the home certifying to the high esteem in which the departed was held.

Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Alexander sang a beautiful duet with Miss Alexander as accompanist. The Deidrick sisters, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Alexander, Mrs. Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Brandt with Mrs. Chambers as the accompanist provided three choice selections. The floral offerings were appreciated and ample, seventy-six people contributed to the floral offerings. The congregation more than filled the church. The Royal Neighbor ladies attended in a body and had their part at the cemetery., the East Side cemetery of Estherville. Rev. W. O. Tompkins preached from the text II Kings 20:1.

Cousins: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kruse of Spirit Lake; Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Hillman, Sanborn; Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Grady, Harris; Mr. and Mrs. P. N. Webster, Harris; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sherman, Harris; Mrs. Emma French, Frankville; Mr. and Mrs. Rob Stewart, Manson; Miss Annie Patrick, Minneapolis.
