Funeral Services For Mrs. Rebecca Jones Held Tuesday P.M.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca O. Jones were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church with Dr. A. G. Bailey officiating. Short services were held in Minneapolis on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock with Dr. Norman Harrison of Oliver Presbyterian Church officiating. Mrs. Jones was a member of this Church.

The deceased died at 5 o’clock Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John W. Thomas at Minneapolis.

She was born in 1853 in Wisconsin. On Oct. 3, 1872 she was united in marriage to W. S. Jones of Battle Creek, Wis. In 1874 they came to High Lake township by covered wagon. In 1888 they moved to Estherville where she lived until her husband’s death in December, 1918. In 1919 she moved to Sioux City to live with her youngest daughter, then Miss Reba Jones. Upon the marriage of that daughter, she moved with her to Minneapolis where she lived until her death.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. R. S. Clark and Mrs. B. T. Osher of Estherville and Mrs. John W. Thomas of Minneapolis; five grandchildren, Miss Margaret Clark, Wm. Clark, Miss Helen Osher, Dr. J. B. Osher and Miss Harriet Osher, all of this city; and two great grandchildren, Lois Jean Clark and Kathryn Ann Clark.

Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were L.L. Bingham, Howard Espeset, Jay Howard, A. J. Rhodes, John Smith and Charles Werling. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 11, 1936)
