Obituary Cleo Joseph Loar
Cleo Joseph Loar was born August 16, 1912, at Humboldt, Iowa. He died August 1, 1924, at his home in Humboldt. He was the youngest child of Charles Loar and Mrs. Jessie Loar, who have resided in Humboldt for twenty years. He was a member of the Congregational church in Humboldt, of which he was a regular and faithful attendant. The funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the home of his aunt, Mrs. J. D. St. John, 844 south Eleventh street. Interment took place at the Oak Hill cemetery. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, August 6, 1924)

The twelve year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Loar, of Humboldt, died last Friday and was brought here for burial Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the home of James Evans on south Eleventh street Sunday afternoon. The Loar family are former residents of Estherville and have many friends here who will regret to learn of the boy’s death. The cause of his death was Bright’s disease. The mother of the boy is a sister of Mrs. Evans and James Huntsinger. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, August 6, 1924)
