Theodor Flindt Was Native of Denmark
Theodor B. Flindt, 88, who die at his home in Estherville at 7 a.m. on June 4 after failing health for over a year was born near Copenhagen, Denmark, Dec. 3, 1867, and received his education there where he attended vocational school and was a graduate bricklayer.He was married in Estherville to Marie Paulson in 1897. Following his first wife’s death he was married to Mrs. Louise Paige on June 2, 1940.
Mr. Paulson [s/b Flindt] had been self-employed; was a contractor, builder and bricklayer. He was a 40-year member of the Masonic Lodge and lived in Emmet county since 1889.
Funeral services were held June 6, at 2 p.m. in the Sternborg Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. T. G. Melton officiating. The Masonic Lodge conducted special services and lodge members served as pallbearers. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Esther Harris, Estherville; Mrs. Mabel Irland, Des Moines; two granddaughters and two great grandchildren. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 19, 1956)
