Mrs. George Hasara Dies At Age of 68

Mrs. George Hasara, 68, died at 11:50 p.m. yesterday at Holy Family hospital after being hospitalized as a result of a broken hip since the latter part of October. Mrs. Hasara had been in poor health for 15-18 years and had been hospitalized off and on for the past three years.

Born Sept. 19, 1887 at Streator, Ill., Clara Havir married George Hasara at Jackson, Minn., on Sept. 28, 1909. Prior to moving to Estherville 11 years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Hasara had made their home on a farm near Spirit Lake.

Surviving Mrs. Hasara in addition to her husband are five children, Mrs. John Williamson and Robert Hasara, both of Spirit Lake; Mrs. Jack Bockland and Fred Hasara, both of Sioux City and Mrs. Kenneth Paulson of Estherville. Her mother, Mrs. Susi Havir who recently celebrated her 100th birthday, also survives Mrs. Hasara.

Other survivors are one brother, John Havir of Lakefield, Minn., and six sisters, Mrs. George Matasovsky and Mrs. Mike Imro, both of Lakefield; Mrs. Joe Gotch and Mrs. Paul Ross, both of Indiana Harbor, Ind.; Mrs. Max Wilson of Jackson, Minn., and Mrs. Ernie Blerman of Montgomery.

Funeral services have tentatively been scheduled for Friday afternoon at the Estherville Lutheran church.
