Albert Free Found Dead At His Home

Albert Free, 66, was found dead last evening in the outdoor toilet of his home on South 12th street here. He is believed to have died late Friday or early Saturday, Sheriff Linn Foderberg says.

James Mustard who lives in the area called Sheriff Foderberg about 5:30 p.m. yesterday and reported that he had not seen Free around for the past three or four days. The sheriff went to the home and investigated. He is believed to have died from a heart ailment, the sheriff explains.

Newspapers from Saturday morning were still found in the mail of Free’s home. Mustard says Free was in failing health for the past several years.

Survivors include two sons. They are Melvin whose last known address is Detroit and Bird whose address in not known.

County welfare records indicate he was born Feb.28, 1892 in Alabama. He served briefly in the Army during World War I. Free received a medical discharge from the army after 54 days of service.
