ESTHERVILLE - Services for Edward A. Boe, 75, of Estherville, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel, Estherville, with the Rev. Norman Erickson officiating. Interment will be in Palestine Lutheran Cemetery, Dolliver.

He died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Avera Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Estherville.

He was born Oct. 11, 1923 at Gruver, the son of Berge and Regina (Nelson) Boe. He attended rural Emmet County School and graduated from Estherville High School in 1942.

On Sept. 3, 1946, he married Mabel Wilhelms at Jackson, Minn. After their marriage they made their home in the Estherville area where he and his father operated Boe Implement in Estherville.

In 1961 he began farming in the Sherburn, Minn. area until 1981 when he retired and they moved to Estherville. He was a member of the Faith Evangelical Free Church in Spirit Lake.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel Boe, Estherville; sons: Allen, Forest Lake, Minn,, Darrell, Sherburn, Minn., David and James both of Estherville; gandchildren: Allen Jr., Rachel, Kristen, Andrew, Regina, and Jacob. Four great-grandchildren; a brother Bjarne (Barney) Boe, Dunnell, Minn, and sister, Ruby Warner,-Springfield, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother; one brother and one sister.
