J.J. BUCKLEY, 73, DIES AFTER HEART ATTACK

Funeral Services Will Be Held at 3 p. m. Monday.

J. J. Buckley, 73, of Estherville, died at, 6:30 a. m. today, from a heart attack. Mr. Buckley had been ill a week but had suffered several previous heart attacks.

Jeremiah Jerome Buckley, son of Jeremiah and Mary Buckley, was born Jan. 27, 1870 in Jackson county, Iowa. He attended school in Jackson county. Moving from there to Delaware, Humboldt, and Palo Alto counties. He came to Emmet county 40 years ago where he had lived since.

Wife Died In 1914.

Mr. Buckley was united in marriage Dec. 2, 1903, to Lillian M. Dare of Spirit Lake, who died Oct. 6, 1914.

Mr. Buckley, was employed on the Rock Island railroad for several years, as a brakeman.

He had been a member for 53 of the Odd Fellows in which he had held «several offices. He also was a member of the Patriarchs Militant and Emmet Canton and the Rebekah lodge.

He also was a member of the Methodist church.

Mr. Buckley also was a member of the Fidelity Insurance company and was a member of the Masonic lodge at Iowa Falls.

Son, Daughter Survive.

Mr. Buckley was preceded in death by his four brothers, two sisters and his parents.

He is survived by his son, Pfc. J. O. Buckley who is stationed at Camp Buttner, N, C. and his daughter Geraldine Buckley, who lives in Estherville

Funeral services are planned for Monday at 8 p.m. from the Methodist church with the Rev. F. W. Ortmeyer officiating. Burial will be in a cemetery at Spirit Lake where Mrs. Buckley is buried. Members of the Odd Fellows lodge will conduct a short service at the cemetery.

Members of the Rebekah lodge will attend the funeral service in a body and will meet at 3:45 at the Methodist church.
