Paul Jensen Succumbs to Heart Attack
Paul C. Jensen, 82, who had made his home for the past three years with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Heggen, died this morning at approximately 10:30 of a heart attack while sitting in the yard of the Heggen home.
Jensen was born Aug. 14, 1877 at Silburg, Denmark, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Jensen. He came to this country In 1891 at the age of 14 years and lived first at Emerson, Neb. He farmed in that area until 1880 when he came to Emmet County. He had farmed in and around this county since that time until October, 1906 when he retired and came to make his home with the Heggens.
Mr. Jensen was unmarried. He was one of five children, one of whom, a brother, Chris Jensen, lives here In Estherville. The other members of the family remained in Denmark and it is not known whether or not all of them are living.
Other survivors included two nieces, Mrs. Heggen and Mrs. John Whitacre, both of Estherville, and a nephew, Ralph Jensen of Rapid City, S.D.; four grandnieces and one great grandniece.
Funeral services are to toe Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Estherville Lutheran Church, the Rev. T. W. Maakestad officiating. Burial is to be in East Side cemetery. Friends may call at the Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home from tomorrow afternoon until time of the services.
