Ingvall, 78, Dies after Long Illness

Victor Ingvall, 78, of Estherville died at his home Saturday afternoon. Death came as the result of a blood clot, but Mr. Ingvall had been in poor health for many years.

Victor Emmanuel Ingvall was born on Feb. 22, 1887, at Hedemora, Sweden. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Ingvall. Mr. Ingvall came to the United States with his family when he was nine years old.

He married Rose Peterson Dec. 31, 1914, at her parent's home in Graettinger.

The Ingvalls moved to Estherville in 1919. Mr. Ingvall was employed by the Estherville Grocery Co. for 23 and half years. He worked for the Tobin Packing Co., 1941-1954, until John Morrell Co. purchased the Tobin plant. He remained with Morrell until his retirement in 1957.

Mr. Ingvall had been a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church since 1922.

Friends may call at the Reese Funeral Home from today until 9 a.m. tomorrow when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the funeral services.

Family services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Estherville Lutheran Church, followed by public services at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Roy Hendrickson will officiate. The casket will not be open following the services.

Mr. Ingvall is survived by his wife, Rose; a brother, David, of Estherville; and a sister, Mrs. Agnes Trotzig, of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, two children and eight brothers and sisters.

The family has established a memorial for Mr. Ingvall.
