W.L.HOPPUS, 81, OF ARMSTRONG, PASSES AWAY

Funeral services werer held in, the Armstrong Methodist church yesterday afternoon for W. L. Hoppus, 81, who died at his home there Monday. The Rev. J. S. Hatchings officiated, and burial was in Armstrong' cemetery.

Mr. Hoppus la survived by one daughter, Mrs. B. L. Clark of Estherville; two brothers, Ed of Wenatchee, Wash., and Orve of Milwaukee, Wis.; and a sister, Mrs. Delia Stelner of Bluffton, Minn. There are 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mr. Hoppus was born Dec. 8, 1857, at Monona, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Hoppus, who were early settlers In Pennsylvania. He was married to Miss Julia Ann Rogers in 1881 and moved to Emmet county in 1844.
