AT REST

William Ellsworth Riggs died [Feb 22, 1890] at his home in the north part of town Saturday morning of last week at 3 o'clock, after months of patient suffering. He was 30 years of age and had lived in Estherville from infancy. His character was beyond reproach. Thoroughly good at heart, Will went through life making only friends. He leaves a wife (Elizabeth) and one child (Nina). The funeral services occurred Sunday at the Baptist Church and were taken care of by the Fire Co. boys. Rev. Mr. Woodford preaching the sermon. The remains were interred in the East Hill [Side] cemetery.
