Long Illness is Fatal to Mrs. Riggs
Death Result of Heart Aliment

Mrs. A. Cecil Riggs, 56, longtime Estherville resident, died of heart disease at 6 a. m. today [March 18, 1949] at her home. She had been ill about a year and a half suffering from a heart condition.

She was born Lela Bullis, March 8, 1893 in Belmond and received her education there. June 13, 1914, she was married to A. Cecil Riggs of Estherville, and the couple came to Estherville where they have made their home ever since. Mr. Riggs is a drayman by occupation.

The deceased was a member of the Methodist Church.

The couple had three children, all of whom survive, and they also raised a niece of Mr. Riggs. The survivors are two daughters, Mrs. William Hiveley, and Mrs. Vern Dahna of Estherville, a son, Rex of Estherville, and the niece, Mrs. August Haisman of Armstrong.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

RIGGS RITES SET

Services for Mrs. A. Cecil Riggs will be held 2 p. m., Monday at the First Methodist church with the Rev. John DeLong officiating. Burial will be at Eastside Cemetery. Mrs. Riggs died of heart disease at 6 a. m. yesterday at her home. She had been ill for about a year and a half.
