Leon S. Pratt, 77, Dies; Rites Will Be Tuesday

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home for Leon S. Pratt, 77, Estherville, who died at 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 [1969] at his home.

He was born Aug. 7, 1892 at Albert Lea, Minn. to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pratt. He was educated in Albert Lea schools. Pratt had been a resident of Estherville for 40 years and was associated with K &K Hardware Store until his retirement.

He was married Sept. 14, 1912, to Myrtle Kilgore and was a member of the Elks Lodge and Methodist Church of Albert Lea.

He is survived by his wife Myrtle; one daughter, Mrs. Edgar (Verda) Warrington, Sr., Wallingford; one son, Charles L. Pratt, Kingston, Wash.; 18 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Charles Boller, Fond du Lac, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Rev. Rawlin Johnson, Glenwood, Minn., and formerly of the Union Baptist Church in Estherville, will officiate at services.

Pallbearers will be George Booth, Delbert Hinsch, Max Soeth, Carl Skog, Howard Nitz and Kenneth Mills.

Burial will be in East Side Cemetery, Estherville. Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home until time of services.
