George E. Pullen
1907-1980Estherville-- Services for George E. Pullen, 72, Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Estherville Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Harold Stepanek officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Pullen died Thursday morning at Buena Vista County Hospital, Storm Lake.
Friends may call at Henry and Olson Funeral Home until noon Saturday and at the church prior to services.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Pullen, he was born April 7, 1907, at Estherville and received his education in Estherville schools. He was married to Harriet Messenger on May 12, 1935, at Austin, Minn.
He was a brakeman on the Rock Island Railroad until retiring in 1968 and a member of the Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by one son, the Rev. Charles Pullen, Storm Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Winterton, Cherokee, and Mrs. Ronald (Mary Jo) Blough, Hinsdale, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and one brother, Joseph M. Pullen, Seal Beach, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his wife and one brother.
