Funeral Services Held Monday for Mrs. Martha Peterson

Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Martha Peterson, who died Friday afternoon [June 1, 1933] at her home in Wallingford.

[Martha Larsdatter Moen was born 18 Feb 1849 to Lars Johannesen Moen and Martha Andersdatter Graue in Spring Prairie, WI. She moved with her parents to High Lake Township, Emmet County, IA in 1866. She was married 30 May 1871 to Peter N. Peterson, son of Peder Nielsen Brugjeld and his wife, Gjertrud, in High Lake Township.]

The funeral services were held from the home at one-thirty and two o'clock from the East Emmanuel Lutheran Church, with Rev. Nordsletten and Rev. Strand, of Wallingford, and Rev. Hansen, of Lakefield in charge.

Burial was in High Lake cemetery.

Mrs. Peterson was eighty-four years of age and had been ill for several weeks following a stroke.

She is survived by five children, Mary (Mrs. Peter B.) Peterson, Nels P. Peterson, ad Lewis P. Peterson of Wallingford, Peter P. Peterson of Hayfield and John P. Peterson of Rochelle, Ill. Her husband died 24 Oct 1917 in High Lake Township.
