Funeral Services Held Yesterday
Seneca Farmer Passed Away Sunday Evening

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from St. Paul's Lutheran church for Carl P. Petersen, 61, of Seneca, who died Sunday evening following a heart ailment. Rev. G. C. Pedersen was in charge of the services and burial was made at the Armstrong cemetery. A quartet from St. Paul's church sang selections at the funeral service.

Mr. Petersen had been seriously ill for about two weeks preceding his death and Sunday his condition seemed improved when he was stricken by a fatal heart attack.

Obituary
Carl Peter Petersen was born in Jaegerspris paa Sjaelland, Denmark, Dec. 28, 1879. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in his native land and in 1894 came to the United States settling in Emmet county.

On January 6, 1904 he married Emma Skow of Armstrong and for four years following their marriage they farmed in Emmet county. For the past 32 years Mr. Petersen had farmed the Herman Krause farm four miles east and two miles north of Ringsted in Kossuth County.

For many years Mr. Petersen had been caretaker of the Seneca township cemetery near his home.

Wife, Four Children Survive
He leaves to mourn his death his wife, three sons: Raymond of Fenton, Floyd of Fort Dodge and Clarence at home; and one daughter, Mrs. Fred Johnson of Fort Dodge. His father died many years ago in Denmark and his mother passed away May 15 1924. Four brothers also survive, Nels of Ringsted, Chris, John and George of Albert Lea, Minn., and one sister, Mrs. Marie Berven of Maple Hill. There are also three grandchildren.

Besides immediate members of the family other relatives and friends from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilson and family of Fairmont, Mrs. Katherine Skow and family of Wallingford, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Wiuff and family of Armstrong and Jacob Berven of Maple Hill.
