Francis Julius Paulson, son of Paul and Bertha Paulson, was born in Estherville township on the Paulson farm Nov. 2, 1915, and passed away at his home east of Wallingford Nov. 28, 1940, at the age of 25 years, 3 weeks and 6 days. He suffered from a serious illness for three years. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith by the Rev. G. O. Paulsrud and confirmed by the Rev. A. K. Gaard.
He was united in marriage to Miss Avis Olson on Dec. 16, 1936. To them was born one son, Orland Buford. Surviving are the widow and son, one sister, Mrs. Art Skattebo, one brother, Chester Paulson. He was preceded in death by his mother and an infant brother, Leonard.
The funeral was held from the home and Wallingford church on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 30, 1940, the Rev. A. K. Gaard officiating.
The pallbearers were Stanley Young, Lilland A. Larson, Sherman Gunderson, Norman Anderson, Bernhard Osher, Ellsworth Larson. The remains were interred in the Riverside cemetery.
