FAIRMONT -- Services for Edna Beatrice Otto, 89, Fairmont, Minn., and formerly of Estherville will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Union Baptist Church in Estherville with the Rev. Dan Swanson officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Saturday, Feb. 2, 1985 at the Lake View Nursing Home, Fairmont.

Friends may call ater 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born Jan. 22, 1896 in Marathon, the daughter of William and Carrie (Grewell) Lawson and attended Clay County schools. On Feb. 25, 1914 she was united in marriage to Frank Otto at Spencer. Her husband died in 1971. The couple moved to the Estherville area in 1926 where they farmed. She lived in Estherville until 1980 when she moved into the Lakeview Nursing Home. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary and Degree of Honor.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Doris Logue, Fairmont, Minn., Mrs. Richard (Madlyn) Grade, Hyannis, Mass.; one son Kenneth Otto, Bellevue, Nebr; four daughters-in-law, Patricia Otto, Colorado Springs, Colo., Evelyn Otto, Iola, Kan., Jeanette Otto, Hyannis, Mass., Caroline Otto, Bellevue, Neb., 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one brother, John Lawson, Spencer, three sisters, Viola Wasteny and Cora Castello, both of Des Moines and Mrs. Lester (Louise) Watts, Storm Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank; four sons, three great grandchildren, one brother and three sisters.
