Mrs. Beatta Sando Oxhovd Dies at 85

Mrs. Beatta Sando Oxhovd, 85, resident of the Wallingford community for many years, died Sunday [24 Sep 1961] at 1 a.m. at Good Samaritan Home where she had been a patient since June, 1960. Her death was attributed to complications of advanced age.

Born June 3, 1876, in Emmet County, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Sando. She received her education in the county rural schools.

In June, 1937, she was married to Tom Oxhovd at Whittenburg, Wis. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Oxhovd lived in Wisconsin until 1947, the year of Mr. Oxhovd's death. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Oxhovd moved to Wallingford where she continued to live until her health failed and she was taken to the Good Samaritan Home.

She was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church and the WLCW.

The last living member of her family Mrs. Oxhovd was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and also grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral services are to be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Wallingford Lutheran Church, the Rev. Norbert Jolivette officiating. Burial will be in the Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home uintil noon tomorrow at which time the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until time of services. The casket will not be opened after the services.

Pallbearers are to be Martin Natterstad, Jamie Kasa, Leonard Munson, Chester Anderson, Alan Glasnapp and Raymond Herum.
