Estherville - Services for Lloyd P. Olson, 93, of Estherville will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Arlyn Norris officiating. Interment will be in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. He died Sunday, June 20, 1993 at Rosewood Manor, Estherville. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Dec. 3, 1899 at Wallingford, the son of Ole C. and Gjertina (Peterson) Olson and attended country school near Wallingford, then Waldorf Academy High School at Forest City, then enrolled in R.O.T.C. at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. On Nov. 24, 1921 he married Ruby Kessling at Iowa Falls. He lived all his life in the Wallingford and Estherville area, farming for 39 years. The couple moved to Estherville in 1953 and he continued to farm until retiring. He was a member of Estherville Lutheran church where he had served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Estherville; daughters: Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Lundy, Estherville and Mrs. Mons (Shirley) Teig, Plymouth, Minn.; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman Olson, Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one granddaughter, three brothers and two sisters.
