MRS. TENA OLSON, AGED 74, IS DEAD
Pioneer Resident of County

A pioneer Emmet County resident, Mrs. Tena Olson, 74, of Wallingford died at 8:15 p.m. yesterday [3 Sep 1941] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. L. Torreson, of Wallingford.

Services will be at 1:30 p. m. Saturday at the Torreson home and at 2 p. m. at the Wallingford Lutheran church with burial in the Wallingford cemetery beside her husband.

Mrs. Olson was born east of Wallingford Sept. 1, 1867, and lived in Emmet county all her life. She married O. C. Olson Nov. 17, 1892, and they farmed in this county until 1920, when he retired and they moved to Wallingford.

She was an active member of the Wallingford Lutheran church.

After Mr. Olson's death in 1926, Mrs. Olson kept her home for more than ten years, but four and one-half years ago she moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. L. Torreson.

A fractured hip kept her in bed for some time three years ago, but it healed and she was able to be up and move around until a year and a half ago when she fell and broke the other hip. That and other complications made her bedfast most of the time since.

All five of her children who survive her live in the Wallingford community. Her two daughters are Mrs. Torreson and Mrs. Glenn Young, and her three sons are Lloyd Olson, Norman Olson and Clarence Olson.
