Levi Minks, 69, longtime Estherville resident died yesterday morning at 1:00 at the University Hospitals in Iowa City where he had been a patient since Sept. 10. Mr. Minks had entered the hospital for observation and had undergone an operation Oct. 17.

The son of S. J. and Martha Minks, he was born Nov. 1, 1888 in Missouri near Springfield. He received his education in the Missouri schools and in 1911 was married to Annie Hindel at Bolivar, Mo. In 1912, he and his wife moved to Estherville where he was employed by the Rock Island railroad until his retirement.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Betty) Wilson, Spencer and Mrs. Clarence (Virginia) Hansen, Wallingford; two grandchildren, Kay Lynne and Steven Wilson; four brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by hls wife and parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, at 2:00 in the Sternborg Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Sternborg Funeral Home between tomorrow noon and time of services.
