ARMSTRONG -- Funeral services will be held here tomorrow for Lawrence F. Heinrich, 74, former local businessman and banker, who died yesterday [Jan.7, 1957] at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

His home had been at Spencer the past two years. He was taken ill in November at the Herb Wolf home here and was taken to the hospital about a week ago.

Born July 3, 1882 in Benton county, Ia., he was married there in 1905 to Meta E. Combs who died in 1947.

He farmed in Benton county from 1905 to 1915 and in Emmet County until 1918 when he moved to Albert Lea to go into the oil business. He opened an oil business in Armstrong in 1920 and continued here until he bought controlling interest in the First Trust and Savings Bank of Armstrong in 1929.

Following the depression, he has engaged in numerous small businesses. The past two years he has been operating a shoe repair shop in Spencer.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Marion A. Hodsdon of Glen Burnie, Md., and a son Clark of Biggsville, Ill.

Brothers are Charles of Estherville and Frank of Newhall, Ia., sisters, Mrs. H. D. Wold, Webster City, Ia., Mrs. C. F. Richards of San Marino, Calif., and Mrs. Arthur Brown, Mrs. G. A. Woodill and Elsie Heinrich of Pasadena, Calif.

Services will be at 2 p.m. at the Armstrong Presbyterian church with the Rev. A. R. Orr, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the Slaba chapel in Armstrong.
