Funeral Services Held For Former Resident

Services for Grace Ellen Haworth, 78, of Onawa and formerly of Armstrong were held Wednesday, March 31 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Armstrong wit the Rev. Travis Cannaday officiating. Burial was in Armstrong Grove cemetery with Henry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Haworth passed away Sunday at the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.

Mrs. Haworth was born on January 6, 1898 at Swea City to parents Fred and Evaline Worchester (sic) and received her education in the Swea City school.

On July 17, 1915, she was united in marriage to Henry Haworth in Emmet County. She lived most of her life in the Armstrong area before moving to Onawa in October of 1967. She was a member of the Bonanza Rebekah Lodge #435 of Armstrong and Past Noble Grand.

Survivors include 2 sons, Carl, Naperville, Illinois and Clyde, Minneapolis, Minnesota; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Marjorie) Sparrowgrove, Fremont, Michigan; Mrs Jerry (Marilyn) Laffey, Onawa; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

She was preceded in death by her husband (June 1968), parents, infant son, 1 granddaughter, and several brothers and sisters.
