TOM HALVORSON DIES AT 80 IN MINNEAPOLIS
Funeral Service to be Held Here

Tom Halverson, 80, former Estherville resident died yesterday at the Deaconess hospital at Minneapolis, MInn. He had been ill for several weeks. The body will be brought here, but funeral arrangements have not yet been completed

Widow Not Well

Mr. and Mrs. Halverson moved to Minneapolis several years ago. They have been making their home at the Deaconess home there. Mrs. Halverson has also been confined to the hospital because of a broken hip.

Mr. Halverson was born Aug. 24, 1851. He lived in Emmet County for many years. During his early life he farmed in the Ryan Lake community, and then moved to Estherville, where he was employed at the Rock Island roundhouse. Lutheran Church Member

He lived in Alabama for a short time and then returned to Estherville. In later years he was janitor of the old Estherville Lutheran church, of which he was a member.

He is survived by his widow and two sons, Alvin of Los Angeles, Calif., and Harry of Clarion. A daughter, Mabel, died a number of years ago.
