Mrs. Harriet Green was born at Liverpool, N.Y. Nov. 1831 and died at the residence of her daughter Mrs. M. A. Anderson, near Superior, Iowa July 20-1900 in her 69th year. She was married at the age of seventeen to John E. Green of Syracuse N.Y. She became the mother of four children, three whom survive one daughter is in Chicago, Ill, and two in this community. Her other descendants are four grand, and eight great grandchildren. She was a widow for fourteen years. When twenty years of age she experienced religion, united with the M. E. church, and was ever after an earnest Christian. The funeral was held in the Baptist church, was conducted by Rev. M. D. Bevin and the remains were followed by a long concours of friends and relatives to the Superior Cemetery.
