Venerable Citizen of Gruver Answered Final Summons Wednesday
PASSED EIGHTIETH YEAR
Was the Father of Brownell and C. M. Jacobson and Mrs. Ole Quastad -- Came to County in 1889
Jacob B. Fladebo, for the past eighteen years a resident of Emmet county, died Wednesday [Nov. 20, 1907] at the home of his son, Brownell Jacobson, in Gruver, aged eighty-two years. He was born in Hardanger, Norway, June 11, 1827. He came to America in 1869, settling in Lee county, Illinois. In 1889 he came to Emmet county and has since made his home with his son, Brownell Jacobson. He is survived by his wife and three children, Brownell and Chris M. Jacobson of Gruver and Mrs. Ole Quastad of Swan Lake township.
The funeral services were held at the Brownell Jacobson home in Gruver Friday, conducted by Rev. Edward Duen of Armstrong. The remains were interred in the Swan Lake cemetery. Mr. Fladebo enjoyed the esteem and respect of all who knew him.
