George Deck, 49, Ex-Resident of Estherville, Dies
George Deck,. 49, former Esthervllle resident, died Saturday at an Owatonna hospital of heart disease. He had been suffering from the ailment for some time.
Deck formerly worked in Esthervllle at the Rhodes Motor company. He was employed there as a salesman from about 1929 to 1932. The deceased was born Dec. 17, 1899, in Ellsworth township and while still a small boy moved to Minnesota with his parents. After he had completed his education, he returned to Estherville and worked at Rhodes. Later he moved to Owatonna to make his home.
Survivors include his wife and daughter, in Owatonna; a brother, Ralph, in Minneapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Baird of St. James and Mrs. Alice Knapp of Des Plaines, Ill.; an uncle, Henry Anderson of Estherville, and three aunts, Mrs. Wesley Sutton, Mrs. Frank Sutton, and Mrs. Bert Helgeson of Estherville. His father, George Deck, Sr., died in Minnesota in March and was returned to Estherville for burial.
Services will be held 2 p. m. tomorrow at Owatonna, with burial in Owatonna.
Several Estherville relatives and friends are planning to attend the funeral rites.
