Grandpa Ellefson died Saturday forenoon, April 9th [1910]. He had been sick but a short time. He was past 80 years of age. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Lutheran church. He leaves an aged wife and two children, Mr. E. E. Ellefson and Mrs. Nels Michelson. We sympathize very much with them in their bereavement.

Ellef and Birgit (Knutson) Ellefson came to the United States from Hallingdal, Norway in 1870 and homesteaded on the northwest quarter of section 2 in Twelve Mile Lake township. They had two children, Ellef E. Ellefson, who was born in Hallingdal December 2, 1869, married Julia Michelson in 1892; and Anna Ellefson, born in Emmet county, who married in 1898 Nels Michelson, born in Norway on January 4, 1874. Julia Michelson and Nels Michelson were brother and sister, children of Michel and Anna Michelson who came from Norway in 1885.

Ellef and Birgit Ellefson are buried in the Lutheran cemetery near Wallingford.
